Radiography Exposure Chart Generator

How to Use This Tool

This tool creates professional radiographic exposure charts in real-time.

Best Practices for Data Collection:
Step Wedge Method: For each kV you want to chart, produce 2 different radiographs using a step wedge
Density Readings: Take 2 density readings per radiograph that “bracket” your target density (one above, one below)
Multiple kV Values: Collect data for multiple kV settings to create a comprehensive chart

Using This Tool:
1. Setup: Fill in your equipment details and target density below
2. Add Data Points: Enter your measured data (kV, thickness, density, exposure) from your radiographs
3. Bracketing: For each kV/exposure combination, ensure you have densities both above and below your target
4. Chart Generation: The chart appears automatically when you have sufficient bracketing data

Data Requirements:
• For each kV value, you need at least 2 data points with densities that bracket your target density
• Example: Target density 3.0 → need one reading below 3.0 and one above 3.0 for the same kV/exposure
• More data points = more accurate interpolation

Tips:
• The tool updates automatically as you add or remove data points
• Data points are organized by kV in the right panel for easy viewing
• Use “Prefill Demo Data” to see how it works with sample data
• Your data is automatically saved in your browser
