Radiography Level 2

Radiographic Testing Level 2 covers an advanced study of radiography in non-destructive testing (NDT). Topics include a comprehensive understanding of the production and nature of radiation, radiation safety, radiographic films, exposure techniques, quality of radiographs, image quality indicators, and the principles of interpretation related to various materials and types of discontinuities.

Candidates will gain an in-depth knowledge of the techniques used to test a variety of materials and product forms like castings, forgings, and welds. They will learn to set up and calibrate equipment, interpret and evaluate results with respect to applicable codes, standards, and specifications, and draft written instructions and procedures. The course also emphasizes critical aspects of safety, handling, and disposal of radioactive materials.
